Miso Tahini Dressing with Orange Juice

This miso tahini dressing is creamy with perfectly balanced flavors. Made with orange juice, it’s fresh, flavorful and super simple to make.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup orange juice , fresh, about 2 large oranges (125 mL/ 115 g)
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste (white type) (15 mL/ 22 g)
  • cup tahini (80 mL/ 90 g)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic , pressed or finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (10 mL)

Optional

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (up to 15 mL)
  • salt (to taste)
  • water (to thin as needed)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Ingredients

  • Use a medium-sized bowl with a small whisk OR a small blender for this recipe.
  • Peel then mince garlic (or use a garlic press).
    1-2 cloves garlic
  • Juice oranges.
    ½ cup orange juice
  • If using a blender, add all ingredients and blend to smooth.
    ½ cup orange juice, 1 tablespoon miso paste, ⅓ cup tahini, 1-2 cloves garlic, 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • If using a bowl and whisk, dissolve miso paste in the orange juice. Keep whisking until there are no clumps of miso paste remaining. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.
    ½ cup orange juice, 1 tablespoon miso paste, ⅓ cup tahini, 1-2 cloves garlic, 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • Taste and adjust with optional ingredients as needed.
    1 tablespoon maple syrup, salt, water

Step 2: Serve Dressing

  • Serve this dressing on your favorite salad or grain bowl.
