This vegan "ham" is loaded with smoky, salty flavor. It slices well and has a satisfying chewy texture!

Glazed "Ham" Roast

Take your roast to another level with pineapple glaze! This is optional but adds a great sweet + salty flavor.

Gluten flour Nutritional yeast Corn starch Smoked paprika Garlic powder Onion powder Salt Ketchup Coconut oil Tahini Soy sauce Dijon mustard Miso paste Vegetable broth

Ham Ingredients

Pineapple juice Brown sugar Corn starch Soy sauce Dijon mustard

Glaze Ingredients

* Making glaze is completely optional

How to Make It

Whisk Dry Ingredients

Step 1:

Combine your gluten flour and dry spices in a bowl. Whisk until everything is well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients

Step 2:

In a separate bowl, melt some coconut oil. Add remaining liquid ingredients and whisk until well combined.

Shape Ham and Bake

Step 3:

Add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, then stir until a ball of dough forms. Use your hand to finish mixing together.

Step 3:

Shape into a small ham, then wrap tightly in two sheets of tin foil. Bake in an oven, flipping halfway through.

Glaze Ham (Optional)

Step 4:

Refrigerate ham overnight. On day 2, add pineapple juice to a small sauce pot. Whisk in corn starch.

Glaze Ham (Optional)

Step 4:

Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring or whisking continuously. Lower the heat and continue to stir or whisk until the glaze thickens.

Glaze Ham (Optional)

Step 4:

Place cooked, cooled ham into a glass dish and coat with glaze. Return to the oven to reheat the ham and glaze.

Serve Vegan Ham

Step 5:

Unwrap from tin foil, or remove from glaze, then slice and serve! It'll firm as it cools, offering a great "meaty" texture.

Cool to room temperature, then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate.  Glazed = 4 days Not Glazed = 7 days
