OAT MILK BECHAMEL

Prepare Roux

Melt vegan butter in a small sauce pot and whisk in flour until no clumps remain. Cook, whisking regularly. The roux will bubble and thicken further.

Whisk in Oat Milk

Pour in ½ cup of oat milk while whisking continuously. Add another ½ cup of oat milk, whisking until the sauce thickens again.

Whisk in Oat Milk

Pour in the rest of your oat milk and whisk until there are no clumps. Cook the sauce, whisking regularly until the sauce thickens and coats a spoon.

Whisk in Flavorings

Remove the pot from heat and whisk in the salt, pepper and nutmeg. Optional to add nutritional yeast and/or lemon juice.
