Melt vegan butter in a small sauce pot and whisk in flour until no clumps remain.
Cook, whisking regularly. The roux will bubble and thicken further.

Pour in ½ cup of oat milk while whisking continuously.
Add another ½ cup of oat milk, whisking until the sauce thickens again.
