Vegan BBQ Sauce

A Dynamic BBQ Sauce

This vegan BBQ sauce is tangy and sweet with a slightly smoky flavor! It's also super easy to make using simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Tomato puree White + brown sugar White + apple cider vinegar Dijon mustard Molasses Vegan Worcestershire Garlic + onion powder Smoked paprika Salt + pepper Ground turmeric Cayenne pepper

1. Add Ingredients to Pot 2. Whisk and Cook 3. Serve BBQ Sauce

How to Make It

Add Ingredients to Pot

Add all ingredients to a medium-size pot, starting with tomato puree.

Whisk until well combined, then bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and whisk occasionally for 5 mins.

Whisk and Cook

Serve this sauce over anything you like to grill! I will often use it to make BBQ roasted chickpeas and jackfruit sandwiches too.

Serve BBQ Sauce

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. You can freeze leftovers and thaw later; this recipe makes about 2 cups in total.

How to Store Leftovers

One of my favorite uses for this sauce is to make baked cauliflower BBQ "wings". Use the link below to see that recipe!
