Lentils are a nutritious and inexpensive way to replace ground meat in recipes. These sloppy joes use basic  ingredients for a tasty meal!

Quick One-Pot Meal

Just add ingredients to your pot and cook for 30 minutes. It's great for busy weeknights or for meal prep (can freeze).

Lentils Canned tomato Onion Garlic Soy sauce Apple cider vinegar Maple syrup Molasses Dijon mustard Ground cumin Chili powder Dry basil Dry oregano Salt Black pepper

How to Make It

Prep Ingredients

Step 1:

Wash and chop all vegetables. Add to a pot along with all remaining liquids and spices.

Cook Ingredients

Step 2:

Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture is thick. Stir regularly to prevent sticking!

Serve Sloppy Joes

Step 3:

Serve on fresh buns with additional toppings if desired.

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Freeze using a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
