CALZONES

Prepare Dough

Add water and sugar to a bowl, then sprinkle yeast over top. Wait until the yeast is foamy, then add oil and salt and flour. Stir until a ball of dough forms, then turn onto a floured surface to begin kneading.

Divide + Roll Doughs

Cut the dough in even pieces. Gently shape the dough into a circle, then roll it out. Add extra flour to prevent the dough from sticking to your rolling surface.

Assemble Calzones

Fill the calzones, starting with sauce then dairy free cheese. I like to add sauce, cheese, a protein and 2-3 veggies.

Assemble Calzones

Once filled, carefully fold the calzone in half. Firmly press the calzone edges together, then fold the edge up over itself and press down again.

Assemble Calzones

Brush with olive oil (optional; dough won’t brown without). Place in an oven preheated to 425 F and cook for 10 min.
