This strawberry jam recipe creates an ultra fresh spread with little-to-no added sugar.  Berries and chia seeds are all you truly need!

Easy Vegan Jam

This simple recipe is free of common food allergens. Use any berries and amount of sugar (or no sugar) and use this chia jam in endless ways!

Ingredients

Strawberries Chia seeds Lemon juice Sugar

1. Grind Chia Seeds 2. Mash Berries 3. Stir Jam and Set 4. Serve Jam

How to Make It

Grind Chia Seeds

While optional, this step is highly recommended for a smooth jam consistency. Use a coffee grinder or small blender.

Weigh (measure) the berries for best jam consistency. Use a potato masher or cutter tool to process berries into small pieces.

Mash Berries

Add chia seeds (lemon juice and sugar too, if using) to your mashed strawberries. Stir to combine, then refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to help thicken.

Stir Jam and Set

Serve however you would typically use fresh jam! Spread onto toast, over pancakes, or on top of vegan yogurt. All are good!

Serve Jam

Use within 1 week for refrigerated chia jam. Frozen jam can be stored for up to 3 months. Do not can/jar this recipe like other traditional jams.
