Weigh (measure) the berries for best jam consistency.Use a potato masher or cutter tool to process berries into small pieces.

Add chia seeds (lemon juice and sugar too, if using) to your mashed strawberries.Stir to combine, then refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to help thicken.

Serve however you would typically use fresh jam!Spread onto toast, over pancakes, or on top of vegan yogurt. All are good!

Use within 1 week for refrigerated chia jam.Frozen jam can be stored for up to 3 months.Do not can/jar this recipe like other traditional jams.
