How to Make It

Prep Onions

Step 1:

Peel and cut into thin, even slices. Thin, even onions cook faster and provide the best result.

Step 2:

Warm some oil in a pan, then add onions and break into pieces. Once the onions begin to soften, add salt.

Step 2:

Lower the heat and let onions sit in your pan. Toss the onions every few minutes, allowing them to lightly stick to your pan.

Step 2:

Cooking takes 25- 40 min. Longer cook times allow for more caramelization. If onions stick to the pan, use a splash of water to help lift the browning.
