Cauli Wings Recipe

These cauliflower wings are coated in a vegan batter and baked to perfection. Coat them in delicious BBQ and butter sauce, then serve for the ultimate appetizer!

Ingredients

Cauliflower Whole wheat flour Plant-based milk Smoked paprika Onion + garlic powder Chili powder Ground cumin Seasoning salt Salt + pepper BBQ sauce Vegan butter

How to Make It

Prepare Batter

Add flour and all spices to a mixing bowl, then whisk to combine. Add plant milk and whisk until you have a smooth batter.

Cut your cauliflower into wing-sized pieces that are each about 2-3 bites in size. Add pieces into batter and toss to coat the cauliflower. 

Coat Cauli with Batter

Place the wings on a baking tray evenly so the pieces don’t touch. Bake in a preheated oven until batter firms.

Bake in Oven

Melt some vegan butter and stir in BBQ sauce of your choice. Set this aside.

Make BBQ Sauce

Remove wings from the oven and coat in your prepared BBQ sauce. Flip the cauliflower, sauce the other side, then return to your oven and bake again.

Sauce and Bake Again

When the cauliflower is cooked and sauce is quite sticky on the outside, you're all done and ready to serve.

Serve Wings

Sauced wings are best eaten the day they're made. Any leftovers should be refrigerated in an airtight container and reheated in an oven.
