“Vegan Meal Planning, Meal Prep and Grocery Shopping Guide” is written by Nicole Stevens, MScFN, RD – a vegan Registered Dietitian who empowers vegans to live a balanced life and gain confidence in the kitchen.
This book does exactly that! Not only do you learn how to select balanced recipes and meal plan like a pro, you will gain confidence in the kitchen by executing a practical and efficient meal prep plan!
One of the biggest challenges vegans have is not knowing where to start in the kitchen. I get asked to provide meal plans on a regular basis. Instead of providing a meal plan that will last you a week or two, I teach people how to build their knowledge and gain the confidence needed to plan your own meals.
Meal planning is a lifelong skill. You get to truly create a customized plan that meets all your needs. There won’t be a single recipe you don’t like, because you’ve selected them all yourself (and used my simple checklist to ensure it’s a balanced recipe).
After meal planning, it’s time to go to the grocery store, another pain point for many vegans. What’s vegan, what’s not? Why does it only say vegetarian when I swear all these ingredients are vegan? Learn what common ingredients aren’t vegan and gain confidence in reading labels (ingredient lists AND nutrition facts tables).
Once your food is home, it’s time to prep for an easy and stress free week. But how? Learning how to be efficient in the kitchen is yet another skill to learn and the process is clearly laid out in this book.
Isn’t this going to cost a lot? Aren’t vegan diets expensive? Not if you implement a few of the 14 money saving techniques in this book. I’m frugal, some may even say cheap. While balanced eating may seem expensive, there are plenty of ways to save if you’re willing to give it a try. I don’t know anyone who spends less money on groceries than I do, so I’d like to think of myself as an expert in this area!
Do I Have to be Vegan?
While this book is written for vegans, the meal planning, meal prep, grocery shopping and money saving techniques can work for any dietary pattern! There are a few extra considerations vegans need to make, but if you’re vegetarian, plant-curious or simply wanting to implement some healthy lifestyle habits, this book can certainly work for you.
It’s always advised to speak with a Medical Doctor before starting any supplement and before making diet/ lifestyle changes.
